Bahdinan trip

The two day trip began 6 o clocks in the morning to Bahdinan area. The task was to plan all our activities and follow up work in the close future there so that the centers can open soon. And this means meaningful activity for youths in the area without specifying more and mentioning all the areas. The radio infrastructure was also included in the work. We visited a couple of cities among them:

Olive cultivation in Bahshiqa

Duhok city

Duhok dam

The mountain pass to Zakho. At this place the Kurdish peshmerga crushed and conquered a massive and heavily equipped military force in year 61. Later in 91 uprising it was also war right in the mountain pass. This day the 13:th mars when we were there it was the memory day of the Kurdish uprising in this area.

Entrance to Zakho. The mountains in the horizon are the border to North Kurdistan (present turkish border).

Duhok soccer hall.

Duhok by night

There are always new electricity infrastructure, masts and cables destroying the landscape and the pictures. But there is never any electricity. I guess that is what an upgradeable system means.

One of Saddam Husseins many many castles. It is surrounded by a huge wall many kilometres around the caste.

Kengal dog, or Gamal as it is called in Kurdistan. It is a dog breed origination from Kurdistan.

Amedi a very special city build on top of a high mountain.
